The Tai Chi sessions at Liberty Center, led by  instructor Feei Feei, provide a wonderful opportunity to engage in physical and mental well-being. Each session lasts for one and a half hours, occurring three times a week. Feei Feei begins the class with 45 minutes of specific exercises designed to warm up the body, preparing students for the more structured practice that follows. After this initial phase, they delve into 37 Yang style Tai Chi—a flowing series of movements that embody grace and mindfulness. Central to Tai Chi practice are the five “S” principles: Stressless, Steady, Slow, Smooth, and Spherical (鬆, 穩, 慢, 勻, 圓). These principles guide practitioners in cultivating a calm mind while performing each movement with intention. As participants move through their routines, they focus on allowing qi—often described as life energy—to circulate throughout their bodies. This mindful flow not only promotes physical health but also fosters harmony between body and mind. The combination of gentle movements and deep breathing helps reduce stress levels while enhancing overall well-being. These class sessions offer both an effective workout regime and an enriching experience aimed at achieving balance in life through ancient practices.
